NAUTIC BASE

Carnon / 2018

"Coastal winds" Creation of a nautical base at Carnon Plage (Hérault)
Concept: The coastal dune colonized by anemomorphic native vegetation integrates the new sailing school. The wind is magnified by vegetation that it sculpts and careens. Quercus Ilex, Olea europea, Pistachia lentiscus, Rhamnus alaternus, Phillyrea angustifolia, Ficus pumila, Dune plants: Amnophilia arenaria, Elymus farctus, Euphorbia paralias, Calystegia soldanella, Erygium maritum. The positioning of the slats takes into account the swirling winds of the site to fix the dune on the building. The installation of the ganivelles protects against the north-east mistral, the north-west tramuntana and sea winds from the south.
Realization of the forecourt of the sailboats in cobblestone with a pattern in the shape of waves.
