NAUTICAL BASE

Carnon / 2018

"Coastal Winds" Creation of a nautical base in Carnon Plage (Hérault)
Concept: The coastal dune colonized by native anemomorphic vegetation integrates the new sailing school. The wind is magnified by vegetation that it sculpts and careens. Quercus Ilex, Olea europea, Pistachia lentiscus, Rhamnus alaternus, Phillyrea angustifolia, Ficus pumila, Dune plants: Amnophilia arenaria, Elymus farctus, Euphorbia paralias, Calystegia soldanella, Erygium maritum. The positioning of the slats takes into account the swirling winds of the site to fix the dune on the building. The installation of the slats protects against the north-east mistral, the north-west tramontane and the sea winds coming from the South.
Construction of the sailboat forecourt in paving with a wave-shaped pattern.
