Maxime AILLET 1888-1941 - Anemomorphic pines in Anglet
August 8, 1920 - watercolor Wind formed pines - From ancient Greek anemos (άνεμος), meaning "wind", and morphos (μορφος), "shape") is an accommodation that consists of modifying the shape of plants and plant landscapes under strong winds. It is a special case of thigmomorphogenesis. This phenomenon is especially remarkable on the coast, in the mountains and at the top of vegetated skyscrapers.
