Garden of the French Embassy in Thailand, Bangkok
The garden symbolizes the ties between France and Thailand. The main courtyard is planted with old bonsai trees, reflecting the traditions of Thai garden art. In the center of the flowerbed, between the French and European flagpoles, a traveler's palm symbolizes the friendship and exchanges between France and Thailand. A cinematic effect is created as one walks towards the chancery; the fan shape is gradually revealed as one approaches the building's entrance.
